Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year. The emphasis is on all the right things -- being together with family and friends, taking in the beautiful season change, and counting our blessings. We are thankful, that even though we are continually bombarded by bad economic and political news, God has truly blessed us. We are thankful for the safe return of our son from Afghanistan, our new grandson, and the continued well-being of our growing family. We are thankful that we can rejoice in the colorful fall scenes, crisp air, and the new outdoor activities of Colorado. We are thankful that we live in a country that, despite its issues, is rich in freedom, and in a region that continues to demonstrate the joy of people helping people.
